Andrew Johnson is a personal injury attorney at Cavanaugh & Thickens, LLC, an award-winning South Carolina personal injury and workers’ compensation law firm. With two office locations, the team at Cavanaugh & Thickens, LLC has recovered millions of dollars in compensation for clients following car accidents, truck accidents, work incidents, and other accident types resulting in injury or wrongful death.

Andrew joined the team in November of 2025, bringing with him over ten years of personal injury legal experience. Prior to joining our firm, Andrew ran a reputable, single-lawyer personal injury practice based out of Blythewood, SC. His firm developed a reputation of providing compassionate legal care, while prioritizing client communication and results inside and outside of the courtroom.

When Andrew’s law firm started outgrowing a single-lawyer practice, and he had the opportunity to work with the attorneys and staff at Cavanaugh & Thickens, LLC, he knew he couldn’t pass it up. Andrew grew up in Greenwood, South Carolina, in a family of attorneys. Growing up, he saw the community around him help one another, no matter the task, which gave Andrew an understanding of and appreciation for the value of good people. He knew he wanted to help people through his career.

Andrew graduated with a B.S. in Business from Franklin University and earned his J.D. from the University of South Carolina. He is an active member of the South Carolina Bar, Richland County Bar Association, Greenwood Country Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division, the South Carolina Association for Justice, and more.

Andrew and his wife, Patti, have two wonderful children, Connor and Reau. When he is not working, he is spending time with his family, reading, watching football, doing yardwork, or cooking.
