Ashley Pardee

Ashley Pardee joined Cavanaugh & Thickens, LLC in March of 2025, bringing with her over 20 years of paralegal experience across personal injury, civil, family, construction, criminal, and probate law. After spending 17 years in Charleston, she chose to join the team at Cavanaugh & Thickens, LLC, because of the firm’s solid reputation in the legal community and how perfectly the environment and team aligned with her values and work ethic.
As Founder and Partner J. Eric Cavanaugh’s paralegal, Ashley was inspired by his passion for helping his clients, client-focused approach, and his willingness to fight for what’s right instead of settling for what’s easy. After meeting Eric, it was clear to her that she could genuinely serve a purpose and make a difference at the firm.
Ashley helps manage cases and build strong relationships with clients. She thrives in the fast-paced environment of the firm, and she enjoys the strategic-thinking required in her day-to-day role. From case management and legal drafting, to managing deadlines and preparing cases for trial, Ashley plays an important role in client cases.
Ashley became a paralegal because she enjoys helping people – she’s proud to help people navigate some of the most difficult and confusing times in their lives. To Ashley, injury cases are much more than the accompanying paperwork – they’re real people with real pain, problems, and stories. She finds it incredibly rewarding to take a messy, emotional situation and help bring clarity, structure, and ultimately results for clients.
Ashley graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications and a minor in Political Science. Prior to joining the team, she ran her own remote paralegal business that was built entirely through attorney referrals.
Ashley is a proud single mom to an amazing, creative, and smart autistic son. Raising him is her greatest accomplishment, and he keeps her life full of joy and wonder. When she’s not chasing him around or diving into arts and crafts, she enjoys painting, browsing antique shops, traveling to Charleston to spend time with her sister, nieces and nephews, watching live music, and enjoying quality time with family and friends.
